What happens if my case is damaged by airline baggage handlers?

Airline baggage handling is genuinely unpredictable, and we won't pretend otherwise - no case is indestructible. What we can tell you is that the vast majority of our cases survive years of touring without significant damage, and that we've designed every component to be user-replaceable: TSA locks, Hinomoto wheels, corner rivets, handles, and straps are all available from our parts store and can be swapped out at home with basic tools. In the rare event of serious damage, contact us at sales@quantumindustries.jp - we make every reasonable effort to support our customers.

Do Quantum gig bags offer any flight protection?

It depends on the bag. Our Q-Series gig bags are specifically engineered to be flight-safe, they feature reinforced padding, structural panels, and protective design elements that go well beyond standard gig bag construction. So if you're flying regularly, we recommend the Q-Series or stepping up to a Tour Vault.

Q-Series: This is our flagship, top-tier bag. It’s over-engineered to be Flight-Safe, meaning it’s incredibly rigid and robust.
Best for: Professional touring, international travel, and when you need to check your instrument as luggage.

Hachiman: The Hachiman is built for heavy-duty regular travel. It features thick, high-density padding and a rugged exterior that handles the daily grind with ease.
Best for: Road tours, frequent transport, and everyday professional use.

We don't believe in disposable gear. If a component wears out after years of touring, we're here to help you fix it, not force you to buy a whole new product.

The Vault system is specifically designed to be modular, making it easy to repair or swap out specific parts without breaking a sweat. If yours isn't performing at 100%, here’s the game plan:
